Even in a pandemic-world, your support makes it possible to find ways to connect and strengthen relationships internationally.

In honor of German American Friendship Day, friends in Germany and all over the world joined for yet another special Dialogue and Diplomacy conversation (full recording here).

David Gill, the Consul General of Germany in New York has been helping to reunify Germany since 1990. The ties between our two countries continues to be nurtured and international leaders like Consul Gill recognize the importance of bringing people together now more than ever.

Consul Gill continues to diligently work on German – American relationships and is confident these times will make us closer. During our conversation he stated,

“My hope is that the pandemic teaches us how important it is that we work together because it is very obvious in the pandemic that there is no national solution. I hope that we realize that what we see in this moment, nationalism will not bring us further but will hinder us to grow and to develop.”

During this segment, we partnered with the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany New York and the Consular Corps Association of Philadelphia. Sponsoring virtual programs as a corporate partner is one way to give back and maintain active international ties.
