Citizens Soir©e: A Dinner for Diplomacy

Thursday, June 7, 2018 , 5:30 PM to 9 PM

National Museum of American Jewish History, 101 S. Independence Mall EastFloor, Philadelphia, PA 19106

We're still exhilarated from the fantastic night we celebrated together at the Citizens Soirée!

Make sure you check out the photos!

The Citizens Soiree: A Dinner for Diplomacy is better every year because of the volunteer efforts of so many people. Thank you to our Board, our members, our interns, our program staff and YOU — it wouldn't happen without you.

We recognized Dr. Steve Grupp, our Citizen Diplomat of the Year, and celebrated the welcoming spirit and global mindset that make people like Steve - and all you Citizen Diplomats - such wonderful ambassadors for our city.

And I'm excited to say that our 2018 attendance and fundraising for the Citizens Soiree exceeded all expectations!!!  This means that you will keep the work of Citizen Diplomacy going all year long. High school students will travel abroad through the Sister Cities Exchange program. Our immigrant and international communities will continue to connect and grow. Citizen Diplomats like you will contribute thousands of volunteer hours to promoting Philadelphia.

Citizen Diplomats are having a powerful impact on how the United States is viewed around the worldFace-to-face, you can’t ignore a person’s humanity. That’s the unique value of person-to-person international exchanges.

Thank you for continuing to support Citizen Diplomacy and for standing up for an open and welcoming America —we can't wait to see you again next year! Save the Date Thursday, June 6, 2019.

Many thanks,

Siobhán
